The mission of the English for Speakers of Other Languages organization is to facilitate communication within the increasingly diverse population in the communities of Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County, Virginia.
Although ESOL has focused on the Latina/o community, the program works with speakers of all languages. We offer formal English tutoring in school, after school, and for families; Youth mentors, especially for navigating school and learning about college access; Interpretations; Translations; Tutoring in other languages per request; Community events such as panels, dinners, and films; and Community English Class every Monday night.
