Latinx Festival

Each Fall, ESOL supports and collaborates with Project Horizon and other community organizations to hold the Festival Latinx/Latinx Community Festival. The event takes place on Hopkins Green in downtown Lexington. The festival is a family-friendly event that includes music & dancing, booths with representatives from local community organizations and free give-aways, and a foodtruck featuring Latinx foods. The Festival Latinx/Latinx Festival  usually takes place the last Monday of September from 5-8 p.m. Check back later this summer for more details!

College & Career Mentoring Dinner

ESOL invites all adult community members and their families to campus to attend a dinner event focused on college and career opportunities. A panel of speakers will offer advice, answer question and speak about local opportunities for those seeking to further their career and/or education.

Book Fairs

ESOL believes that the best way to learn and improve your language skills is through reading. Periodically, ESOL holds a Community Book Fair where families can come and select free books and games. There is something for everyone! Children, young adults, and their parents. We also have bilingual books available. Bring your friends and family!

Community Movie Nights

Can you think of a better way to spend a wintery evening than watching a movie with family and friends in front of the big screen with a hot cocoa and churros? We can’t either! ESOL periodically holds Community Movie Nights on the campus of W&L. The more the merrier!
